One of my most memorable moments while hosting freeroll poker tournaments was long ago.

I was working at a location where we did $1,000 cash finals. Whoever got first place won the entire cash prize. We were getting 60-plus players a week. The location wanted finals to be open to everyone. So, I decided to base the starting stacks on points that players earned each week. This meant if you had never played the game before. You started with only 1,000 in chips.

One of the players who started with 1,000 in chips won the tournament. It just shows that you miss every shot you don't take.
